The joint assessment comprises of an on the bed assessment of the key joints involved in powerlifting performance.

This assessment lower limb assessment will look at the hips, knee, ankle, lumbar spine, thoracic spine for a greater understanding of the squat and deadlift factors. The upper limb assessment will look at the shoulder, thoracic spine and elbow giving us a greater understanding of the bench press factors.

The assessment is not built off of normative data of the general population, it is an assessment on you comparing you to you. Powerlifters have a very specific job to perform and the joint ranges exhibited by a lifting population “may” be different to that of a regular person. So by comparing your left and right sides we begin the building the picture of how you currently move.

The next stage is to look at strength.
